LANSING, Mich., and PHOENIX, Ariz: May 27, 2004: Capitol Bancorp Limited (NYSE:CBC) will be a featured presenter at the Howe Barnes Investments, Inc. 9th Annual Community Bank Conference in Chicago on Tuesday, June 1.

Capitol Bancorp recently completed its acquisition of First Carolina State Bank in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, its first bank in the Southeast region of the U.S., and also announced the organization of a de novo bank in Point Loma, California.
