LANSING, Mich., and PHOENIX, Ariz: July 19, 2005: Capitol Bancorp Limited (NYSE:CBC) will be a featured presenter at the Sixth Annual Community Bank Investor Conference hosted by Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc., in New York City on July 26, 2005.
Capitol Bancorp Chairman and CEO Joseph D. Reid will be joined by Capitol Bancorp's Chief Financial Officer, Lee W. Hendrickson, and Chief of Capital Markets, Michael M. Moran, in providing an overview of the company's unique operating model, financial performance and major strategic initiatives to institutional investors, securities analysts and investment bankers who focus on the community banking industry.
Capitol Bancorp also will provide an update on the company's development activities. The Corporation recently opened three new community banks: Bank of Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington, and Fort Collins Commerce Bank of Fort Collins, Colorado, which both opened in June; and Bank of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Michigan, which opened in mid-July. Bank of Bellevue and Fort Collins Commerce Bank represent Capitol Bancorp's initial entrance into the states of Washington and Colorado, respectively. In addition, the Corporation has publicly announced that applications have been filed for two other de novo community banks, and it is continuing its development efforts with other potential organizations throughout the country.
